Christy Guinan is a Portland Oregon Artist. She grew up in El Paso Texas and went to the University of North Texas to study visual arts. While she was there she studied under Rob Erdel the renowned watercolor artist, Vernon Fisher, a conceptual painter, Robert Jessup a well known abstract painter and Millie Giles a wonderful watercolor painter.  These are the people that have influenced her work.

Christy mainly works in watercolor, acrylic and multimedia collage but she also does photography and works with yarn creating creatures, dolls, and other wearable art.  She does commission art work as well.  Making a living at creating art is her dream.  She works toward that dream everyday.
