Pursuing an Art career is like hunting dragons, you're better off building your own.

Art From My Perspective:

Art is subject to the viewer and everyone is capable of producing it. Something different is brought to the easel by each individual and each individual can be defined by what they leave behind. The more a person studies themselves, history and their relationship to it and all that surrounds them, the more they will have to say. The more they study techniques and materials the wider range of tools they have to communicate there ideas. Just as each viewer brings a different set of criteria to judge a piece, each artist will have something different to say and a different way to say something similar. Thus, Artists are neither good nor bad, just more or less experienced.

This is not a disclaimer. It is a fact that I am stating for all of those people out their who have given up on their artistic dreams by the advice of another.

I believe that Art is simply an expression of the individual. So, through my study of the techniques, I try to make each piece an irreproducible expression of a moment in time. Depth, motion, color, texture, and some iconography all play a part in my conversation with the viewer. I make the painting as interesting from two inches as from twenty-two feet. Texture, translucence, and luminescence help my paintings change with the light, giving the invested viewer a life time of change and discovery.
