the Birth of the most wonderful person in the world took place. Christy Lynn Bailey was born the third girl of Jack and Beverly Bailey and enjoyed being the youngest for seven years before her brother was born. Tortured and teased by her older sisters, she developes an extensive network of imaginary friends with whom she goes on many adventures, exploring the mountian slopes and arroyo's of her El Paso nieghborhood. Born with a wicked case of dyslexia, Critter continues to have problems in her early scholastic years. Until, her loving Grandmother recognised that although she still couldn't read or write in the fourth grade, she had a colliegate vocabulary. With her Grandmother's support her academics began to rise to the level of her athletic preformance. In High School she was one of the fastest freshman in the state, and if not for a sieries of career ending injuries her career may have been on the track. After High School Christy attended North Texas State University where she got her BFA in four years and entered into the MFA program. Working three jobs with her debt mounting, Christy is forced to quit the program with only two sumesters left. For the next four years she works her way out from under the debt of five years of secondary education without much help, while trying to keep her artistic fire alive. In 1996 she met Rick Guinan and moved with him to Austin and got married in November of 1999. When Rick's comic book project with James Giles failed, she and rick moved to Portland Oregon to persue a continuing education and an active community of Artists.
